Hours are flexible based on a 35 hour work week - Monday through Friday 9:00 am - 5:00 pm. Three weeks of vacation. Job Description

The Senior Architectural Technologist is a detail oriented individual with enough work experience to independently complete building code analysis, specifications and construction drawings for small to medium scale projects – primarily located in the Ontario region.

Responsibilities to include the following, but not limited to:

  • Producing technical design and contract documents in compliance with Owner’s statement of Requirements, in collaboration with project teams
  • Validating that designs and deliverables conform to technical guidelines, code requirements and regulations
  • Providing technical design solutions for facility construction including interior and exterior assemblies
  • Architectural documentation of small to medium scale projects
  • Coordinating with project sub-consultants
  • Various project management duties, such as field reviews, site meetings, etc
  • Assisting with contract administration
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Diploma in Architectural Technology
  • Minimum five (5) years’ experience working as an architectural technologist
  • Demonstrated proficiency in the following: Building science and construction detailing; Revit and AutoCAD software (latest editions); analysis, interpretation and application of the Ontario Building Code; MS Office Suite
  • Candidates must demonstrate the following: passion for the built environment, critical though, personal organization, accountability, self-motivation, collaboration, attention to detail, written and spoken English proficiency
  • Strong project and time management skills
  • Able to work both independently and as a team member, and take direction well
  • Ability to be self-motivated / taking initiative and thinking independently
  • Ability to work well under pressure with time constraints
  • Must have your own mode of transportation for work-related travel (site meetings, etc)
