Job Description

The Sales / Account Manager is responsible for the following, but not limited to:

  • Retaining and strategically growing sales volume, by developing and managing accounts along with identifying and acting upon new business opportunities
  • Reaching sales expectations, profitability and targets
  • Negotiating pricing, contracts and programs in conjunction with procurement and marketing
  • Developing sales strategies and action plans for attaining and exceeding sales and profit goals at both a customer and corporate level
  • Managing and monitoring internal business plans to effectively meet customer needs and deadlines
  • Conducting customer reviews and participating in strategic account planning with customers
  • Working with internal sales reports, market trends, and other data sources to develop an in-depth understanding of the market and suggest avenues for growth to customers and company Sales team
  • Remaining current with market trends and fluctuating consumer demands
  • Identifying new customers and potential business opportunities
  • Working with farm operations and packaging to communicate orders and direct the allocation of product to customers
  • Other duties as assigned


  • Ability to build trustworthy professional relationships at multiple levels throughout the Customers’ organization and the confidence to present and interact with Senior Management
  • Proven track record of building strong, trusted relationships
  • Previous sales experience in produce or perishable markets would be considered an asset
  • Experienced with using Sales Forecasting Tools
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and valid passport
  • Able to work a flexible schedule
  • Ability to travel on a regular basis
  • Computer savvy - strong social medial skills
  • Logistics experience an asset
