Job Description


Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Industrial / Process Engineer will be responsible for the following duties:


  • Using data acquisition system(s) and or production tracking sheets to identify the top scrap and top down time issues in the plant. Identify root cause and counter-measure, utilize teams as required. Work with tooling, maintenance, and production to implement counter-measures. Procure parts and or outside services as required
  • Work closely with various team members to coordinate process improvement activities to improve safety, quality, productivity, and profitability
  • Aid in troubleshooting and repair
  • Develop efficient assembly processes for new product introduction. Design process and generate bid specifications and work with suppliers from quoting thru to run-off in plant. Work closely with various team members to coordinate new process launches
  • Maintain and generate machine build standards for new equipment.
  • Maintain and ensure accuracy of plant layout
  • Responsible for capacity studies and reports for existing and new processes
  • Responsible for determining packaging design for new product launches
  • Responsible for creating and maintain work instructions for new and current production parts
  • Implement production methods meeting Quality, Health & Safety, Ergonomic, Environmental and Production standards
  • Other tasks as assigned by the Manufacturing Engineer Manager


The preference would be that the successful candidate has the following qualifications and experience:

  • Graduate Engineer in the mechanical or electrical field with 5+ years of experience
  • Knowledge of press systems, stamping and assembly processes
  • Experience and ability to thrive in the fast-paced automotive industry
  • Thorough understanding of process engineering principles and the Toyota Production System
  • Computer proficiency in a Windows environment utilizing Microsoft Office and AutoCAD
  • Must be a self starter and capable of performing duties with limited supervision.
  • Strong Interpersonal, communication, time management skills and organizational skills
  • Must be able to handle stressful/pressure situations in a professional manner.
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Willing and able to work excess hours when necessary
  • Must be able and willing to travel
