Job Description

The Development Architect will be responsible for analyzing properties for development, including by-law review, site planning, building massing, proforma and municipal submittals.

Responsibilities to include the following, but not limited to:

  • Working with development team to assess property yield based on modular standard
  • Property analysis and zoning requirements
  • Municipal submittals and review
  • Weekly development meetings
  • Generating overall project schedule and budget and administering design team
  • REviewing planning documents and applying to the design options
  • Overseeing drawing package for Zoning and Site Plan Approval
  • Assisting in management of Sharepoint, Procore and BIM360
  • Assisting in developing generative design software
  • Developing Standard Operating Procedures for site design process
  • Assisting with office operating procedures
  • Assisting with sales, outreach and presentations
  • Assisting in resourcing and delegating tasks to design team
  • Assisting in onboarding training and mentoring for new designers and PMs
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Degree in Architecture
  • OAA license in required
  • Minimum eight (8) years experience in a design office and experience as a Project Architect
  • Experience running a design team on the front-end of a project
  • Expertise in planning principles, zoning, variances, site planning and design
  • Knowledge of CCDC contracts, management and administration
  • Advanced understanding of Revit and BIM360
